The BMI is not an accurate way to measure whether you are healthy or not.
According to a study by researchers at UCLA published this month in the International Journal of Obesity, here are some reasons why you really can’t rely on BMI.
- It can flag athletic or muscular people as overweight or unhealthy.
- BMI doesn’t tell the whole story
- Instead of relying solely on BMI we need to look for excess fat
I agree! I’m one of those skinny fat people. I look skinny but I have a tiny belly. LOL
