BMI Is A Terrible Measure of Health

The BMI is not an accurate way to measure whether you are healthy or not.

According to a study by researchers at UCLA published this month in the International Journal of Obesity, here are some reasons why you really can’t rely on BMI.

  1. It can flag athletic or muscular people as overweight or unhealthy.
  2. BMI doesn’t tell the whole story
  3. Instead of relying solely on BMI we need to look for excess fat

I agree! I’m one of those skinny fat people. I look skinny but I have a tiny belly. LOL
